The Gear Tips Pilgrim Experience is a face-to-face event! A real immersion for those who want to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela or other pilgrimage routes.

The event will feature lectures, workshops and seminars, everything you need to know to prepare and not jeopardize your journey.

You’ll also be able to see and try out various pieces of pilgrimage equipment, learning from a technical perspective from those who have been working in the market for over 20 years, as well as lectures from those who know the most about pilgrimages in Brazil!

The Villa-Forte Hotel

A hotel located in Engenheiro Passos (RJ), 15 km from Itatiaia, on the Presidente Dutra highway.

Having started its hotel activities in 1918, the Hotel Fazenda Villa-Forte still preserves its big house, the train station, as well as some leisure areas that were slave quarters during the slavery era. It’s a real traditional farm with the attractions of a modern leisure hotel.

For the Jornada we have set up an extra structure to receive hundreds of participants in a true immersion.

The hotel’s strategic location is favorable for receiving participants from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais.

Pedro Lacaz Amaral
Gear Tips

Pedro Lacaz Amaral is the creator of Gear Tips. He has been practicing outdoor activities since 1990 and has always had an adventurous spirit. With a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing and Business Intelligence, Pedro, together with Kiko Araujo, brought Deuter to Brazil in 2001 and is currently a partner in Proativa, the company that manages the Azteq, CamelBak, Deuter and Sea to Summit brands in Brazil.

Ana Wanke
Specialist in the Camino de Santiago

Engineer, guide and entrepreneur. He specializes in the Camino de Santiago: he has walked “El Camino” a dozen times, has taken several courses at the University of Compostela on the Camino and Galician culture, and has done countless consultancies for pilgrims. Today she is a Dame of the Order of the Way of Saint James, an organization that has been protecting the Way since 1,170.

Kellyns Cristina
MãeTiqueira

Physical Educator, Postgraduate in Exercise Physiology, Conscious Tourism Operator in Serra da Mantiqueira. For six years he has been developing Body Awareness and Connection in the mountains through physical activities and meditation.
