We promote face-to-face training throughout Brazil and develop a variety of content through our YouTube channel. In addition, Gear Tips Club members have benefits on courses with partner adventure schools and access to exclusive technical content on the Gear Tips Plus and Gear Tips Academy platforms, including all the lectures from the four Online Trekking and Trail Running Congresses that have already taken place. Gear Tips also organizes major training events for the outdoor activities segment, such as the Gear Tips Trekking Experience, the Pilgrim Experience, the Cultural and Scientific Journey of Mountaineering and the Rio Mountain Festival. Since 2022 we have been operating the Capacitar Program, where Gear Tips Club partner companies and guides receive specific training in minimum impact, orientation and navigation and first aid in remote areas so that they can be prepared to provide a quality service and meet growing market demand.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We are very proud to have a team made up of 50% women and 50% men, and we estimate a female participation in events, face-to-face workshops and digital content of approximately 40%. Gear Tips promotes and encourages entrepreneurship in the segment through technical training for people and projects working in the sector, as well as promoting our network of partners in the Gear Tips Club, such as brands, stores, operators, lodges, guides and adventure schools. Since 2016, Gear Tips has been generating a series of contents that encourage everyone’s ability to break down existing barriers and be more in touch with nature. Floresta em Fam\u00edlia, a project aimed at increasing the number of families doing activities in nature, had its pilot project in 2017 in the Tijuca National Park. The topic returned at the IV Cultural and Scientific Mountaineering Conference, in the form of a round table discussion. In addition, during the series of Bate-Papo Outdoor livestreams<\/em>, held between 2020 and 2021, Gear Tips relied on Libra interpreters for all its live content. Stillncreasing our impact, numerous Gear Tips Club partners develop social projects as part of their activities. Created in 2021, the Gear Tips Recycling Program promotes the disposal and recycling of empty gas cartridges used on camping trips. Due to the lack of appropriate collection points, these cartridges were usually disposed of in the common garbage, ending up in landfills or local dumps. Today, there are more than 30 collectors available to the public at collection points. Because of its relevance, the program was the winner of the 2023 Mountain Protection Award from the International Union of Mountaineering Associations – UIAA.<\/p>\n

We also encourage conscious consumption by generating content on the main characteristics and the most appropriate equipment for various activities. We demonstrate good care and maintenance practices that contribute to extending the useful life of all the products consumed, promoting more qualified purchasing and less waste. Gear Tips was the first institution in Brazil’s outdoor activities segment to neutralize the carbon emissions generated by its main events held in 2022 and 2023. In total, we offset the emissions of 38.54 tons of CO2 equivalent by planting 233 trees which, as they establish and grow, will offset our emissions over an approximate 30-year lifespan. As a company, we also neutralized all our carbon emissions by 2022 by planting eight trees native to the Atlantic Forest in ecological restoration projects. Through video content, events and technical articles, we directly address issues related to good practices in outdoor activities, environmental aspects and minimum impact principles in natural environments. In 2022, at the III Cultural and Scientific Journey of Mountaineering, a round table was held to debate the minimum impact on nature. Finally, through the Capacitar Program, Gear Tips promoted the first free Leave No Trace Level I course in Brazil in 2023. The audience was made up of members of our team and guides who are partners of the Gear Tips Club, with a duration of 20 hours and institutional certification as Trainer LNT (Level 1 Instructor).<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
